  • Davy Dennis Perpetual Memorial Cup for Underage Hurling

Congratulations to Rory Mc Grath who is the first recipient of the Davy Dennis Cup. The Cup honours the memory of a Cork man who came to work in Newbridge in 1954 and joined Moorefield because the club was “committed to entering hurling teams in the championships” and he perceived Moorefield as having a positive attitude to our traditional field game. Rory, as a member of the Under-14 team is a player who has displayed dedication, respectfulness, commitment, sportsmanship and all the attributes to make him a worthy winner of this award for 2017. Well done Rory.

  • Underage Camogie and Hurling Presentation

Well done to all of our Underage Camogie and Hurling players on another great year. It was great to see so many new faces! Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication throughout 2017. Enjoy the break and we hope to see you all back in 2018.

  • End of Year Presentation 2016

A great evening was had at the Underage Hurling & Camogie End of Year Celebration. Special awards were given out for the Spirit of Hurling & Camogie and Player of the Year in various age categories. It has been a great year for our underage players with lots of new members. It was wonderful to celebrate a fulfilling year on the field. In particular medals were presented to our U11 Camogie and U14 Hurling teams. Thank you to Kildare County Hurler Richie Ryan who presented the awards on the night and also to Tom Lane, who presented his daughter’s award, the Tara Lane Memorial Award. A big thank you to all trainers who helped out during the year and all the parents/guardians who helped in any way throughout the year – without all this effort, none of this would be possible. We look forward to seeing everybody back again next Spring!
