Well done to the U10 hurlers who played Gracefield (Portarlington) yesterday evening. It was a good evenly matched game with good scores coming from both teams. It was great to see players getting more comfortable on the ball and going for scores when in position. Also there were side steps, conversion of 65’s, a long range goal, hand passing to a player who was unmarked. Tom Corry pulled off three great saves, defence was solid with Emmett Christie, Damien O’Connor and Adam Smith. Midfield of Alex Bell, Conor Price and Ben Hensey worked endlessly and never stopped trying. The forwards of Tara Christie, Chris O’Conor and Darragh Holland made every effort to make every ball that came their way into a score. The Little Moorefield Lions kept their focus and never took their eye off the ball for start to finish. Well done everybody.

Well done to all the U10 Hurlers who played Coill Dubh tonight. The conditions were perfect for hurling and everybody gave a top class performance. There were exhibitions of hooking, blocking, sideline cuts, hand passes, roll lifts, jab lifts, point taking, puck outs and goals from both teams. All the training and practicing is paying off. Everybody should be proud of their own performance and we look forward to seeing them improve over the Summer. The little stars were Craig, Alex, Christopher, Jack, Tara, Emmett, Darragh, David and Karl.

Well done to all the Moorefield U10’s who played against Rathangan last night. They played a great spirited game of hurling and never gave up making a great second half performance. The final score couldn’t have been closer. The Moorefield Little Lions have played a lot of games over the recent while and never stopped giving their best throughout the game. We are all proud of the fantastic effort they have been putting in. Well done.

Well done to all the U10 Hurlers who played Blessington in the club this morning. It was a fantastic, competitive game of hurling with every boy playing their best. There was several “firsts”. First clean catch of the ball in the air. First goal. First time playing in midfield for a whole game. First save of a high dropping ball into the goal. They are a great bunch and getting better with every training session and every game.
